Intuit QuickBooks 2019 Release – What’s New?

Intuit released QuickBooks 2019 Desktop in September 17, 2018, which is an upgraded version of QuickBooks 2017 that has improved and enhanced features. All the versions of QuickBooks – Pro, Premier, Accountant and Enterprise – have been upgraded with the new features.

Let us have a look what’s new in QuickBooks 2019. It is important to note that a few features might not applicable to everyone.

Major improvements in QuickBooks 2019 (Pro, Premier, Accountant)

1. Inactive Items and Industry Reports
   This feature will prevent any inaccurate inventory reports, save your research time, keep your inventory up-to-date, and consolidate inventory value for accounting.
2. Check to Bill Pay
   This feature allows you to easily manage bills of/from vendors, helping you in keeping the track of what is owed to vendors.
3. Invoice Status Tracker
   This feature provides real-time visibility of invoice statuses to advance collections and manage cash flow.
4. Transfer Credits
   This feature allows users to transfer credits across jobs without any special knowledge of accounting. When credits are available across jobs, QuickBooks prompts the user as new invoices are created.

Other improvements in QuickBooks Enterprise

1. Manage Payroll Permissions
   Prevents unauthorized permissions that help shield sensitive information.
2. Reliable Sick and Vacation (Payroll only)
   Alerts the user of negative sick time balances, displays accrued, used, and available sick time and vacation time use and balances. It is compliant of state mandated sick time accrual rates.
3. Enhanced Pick, Pack, and Ship
   Visibility into all sales order information from a single dashboard for pick, pack, and ship status which increases speed and accuracy for order fulfillment.

   With this release, QuickBooks aims to improve user experience and focus on simplicity of the software. These customary changes made by Intuit claims to cement its position as the world’s most popular accounting software, as per many accounts.

   Note: The features mentioned above are applicable to QuickBooks Desktop for Windows platform and currently apply to strictly U.S. edition.
