Minimum system requirements for installing osCommerce on a virtual dedicated server
You can install OS Commerce on a Hyper-V virtual dedicated server. Minimum RAM needed only for OSCommerce is 512 MB. Apps4Rent’s Hyper-V Bronze plan will allow you to run OSCommerce site comfortably.
Please ensure that the following options are selected in the signup form when using signing up for our Hyper-V server offering. Also, OSCommerce works best under Linux environment; so you need to choose appropriate Linux server from the offering.
- Apache
- PHP4 or higher.
- MySQL 3.23 or higher. Recommended is mySQL 4 or my SQL 5.0.
