What Are Azure Migration Services?

Azure migration services are the assessment, planning, and execution work involved in moving servers, databases, and applications from on-premises infrastructure or another cloud onto Microsoft Azure, delivered by a Microsoft partner rather than handled entirely in-house. That covers evaluating what you run today, choosing the right Azure target for each workload, testing the move before it happens, and executing a cutover with minimal downtime.

This is distinct from, though related to, Azure migration consulting, which is the assessment and architecture side of the same work. If you want an independent architecture review before committing to a migration, our independent architecture review covers that ground on its own.

Done without a plan, a migration becomes a copy-and-hope exercise: data moves, but nobody checked whether the application still connects to it correctly, or whether the new environment is sized for what it actually needs to run.
