Palm Treo 755p<\/strong><\/span> is a PALM OS 5.4.9 <\/span>based smartphone that can be synchronized easily with Microsoft Exchange Server, thus making it easy for professionals to check their official mails even when on the move.<\/p>\n

Configure Palm Treo 755p to sync with <\/span><\/strong>Microsoft Exchange Server<\/a><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In order to sync Palm Treo 755p with Microsoft Exchange <\/a>Server, first install Versamail. Check how to do it below:<\/p>\n

  1. Run the Palm Installation CD on your computer. You should see a window and some options. Select Install bonus software<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
  2. On the screen that appears, click the VersaMail<\/span><\/strong><\/code> link. On the right, click Install<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Once VersaMail is installed, you can configure ActiveSync:<\/p>\n

    1. Tap Applications<\/span><\/strong><\/code>, and then Email<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
    2. You may see a screen titled “Initial Setup”. If so, tap Continue<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
    3. The Account Setup screen will appear next. In the “Account Name:” field, enter a label for this email account, for example, Exchange<\/span><\/code> or IU <\/span><\/code>. It can be anything you want, as long as you remember it stands for your university Exchange account.<\/li>\n
    4. In the “Mail Service” drop-down list, select Exchange ActiveSync<\/span><\/strong><\/code>. Tap Next<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
    5. The Work screen will appear. Under “Username:”, enter your IU Network ID username. Under “Passwords:”, enter your password. Then tap Next<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
    6. On the next screen, under “Email Address:”, enter your full IU email address, not just your username.<\/li>\n
    7. Under “Mail Server:”, enter www.exchange.iu.edu<\/span><\/code>. Tap Next<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
    8. You will see a screen saying: Basic setup for your mail account is completed. -To exit, select Done. -For additional settings, select Advanced. -To try your connection, select Test settings.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      You are not finished yet. Tap Advanced<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/p>\n

      1. On the Advanced screen, leave the “Port Number:” setting alone if it reads 443<\/span><\/code>. Otherwise, change it to 443<\/span><\/code>.<\/li>\n
      2. Make sure Use Secure Connection (SSL).<\/span><\/strong><\/code> is checked. If not, tap to check it. Tap Next<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n
      3. Ignore all the settings on the Proxy Server Settings screen. IU does not use any proxy servers for mail access.<\/li>\n
      4. Select Done<\/span><\/strong><\/code>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
