AT&T\u2019s first Windows Mobile 6.5 smartphone, the HTC Pure, has some reasonable heritage. Being a phone based on Windows Operating System, HTC Pure syncs well with Exchange Hosting<\/a>, enabling you to be connected with your Outlook mails, calendar, contacts, notes, etc.<\/p>\n

Setting HTC Pure with Microsoft Exchange<\/a> Server to connect through the \u201cInternet\u201d Connection <\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

  1. Press Start<\/strong><\/li>\n
  2. Select ActiveSync <\/strong><\/li>\n
  3. Press Menu<\/strong><\/li>\n
  4. Select Add Server Source<\/strong><\/li>\n
  5. Enter your Email address<\/strong><\/li>\n
  6. Press Next<\/strong><\/li>\n
  7. Enter your User name<\/strong>, Password<\/strong> and Domain<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Press Next <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The device will automatically download the Settings from the Microsoft Exchange Server<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n

    1. If the device cannot complete the Auto Configuration, Enter your Server address,<\/strong> ensure \u201cThis server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection\u201d is checked<\/strong> and press Next<\/strong><\/li>\n
    2. Press Menu<\/strong><\/li>\n
    3. Select Advanced<\/strong><\/li>\n
    4. Ensure the Connection:<\/strong> sliding panel is set to \u201cInternet\u201d<\/strong><\/li>\n
    5. Press on OK<\/strong> if prompted and once you have read and understand the Warning Message<\/li>\n
    6. Press Save <\/strong><\/li>\n
    7. Press Finish<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      By selecting Internet<\/strong> in Advanced Server Settings, ActiveSync will connect through the Connection which is defined in the Connection Settings of the device to Automatically Connect to the Internet. <\/em><\/p>\n
