However, if your organization has customized the default settings for your site, you may need to activate the workflow as a site collection feature to make it available to be added to lists or libraries. You must be a site collection administrator to activate a site collection feature.<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Activate the Three-State workflow<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>On the home page for the site collection, on the <strong>Site Actions<\/strong> menu , click <strong>Site Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Under <strong>Site Collection Administration<\/strong>, click <strong>Site collection features<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>On the Site Collection Features page, in the <strong>Three-state workflow<\/strong> section, click the <strong>Activate<\/strong> button<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Deactivate the Three-state workflow<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>You can deactivate the Three-state workflow feature if you do not want it to be available to people who use a site. If you deactivate Three-state workflow, it will not be available for users to add to lists or libraries.
