Duo is a multi-factor authentication system that provides an extra layer of security for your virtual desktop accounts. Duo Free account can be used by up to 10 users. Follow the given steps to set up your Duo Free account.<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align:left;\">\n<li>Go to  <a href=\"https:\/\/admin.duosecurity.com\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/admin.duosecurity.com<\/a>  and select start free trial or log into your Duo account.<\/li>\n<li>Next, click on \u201cDuo Free\u201d and then click on <b>\u201cStart a Free Trial\u201d<\/b><\/li>\n<li>Fill up the below details if <b>start free trial<\/b> option is selected.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-1.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Once the details are filled, you will get the verification link on your email address.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-2.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Once the registration is complete, log into your Duo account.<\/li>\n<li>Setup <strong>New Customer Account<\/strong> by filling the required information:<br \/>\nAccount Name:<br \/>\nAdmin Email:<br \/>\nCompany Name:<br \/>\nBusiness Size:<br \/>\nIndustry:<br \/>\nZIP\/Postal Code:<\/li>\n<li> Once above information is filled, click on <strong>Add Account<\/strong>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-3.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Next, click on <strong>Users<\/strong> and then <strong>Add new User<\/strong>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-4.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Username should be exact as Virtual Desktop login username without any Workgroup\/domain. Ex. (Test\\User1 then username should be User1 and not Test\\User1).<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-5.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li> Once you added the user, scroll down to update the required details such as Full name, Email, and click on <strong>Save Changes<\/strong>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-6.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li> Next, scroll down to the <strong>Add Phone<\/strong> option and click on <strong>Save Changes<\/strong>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-7.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li> Select the Country and add your phone number and click on <strong>Add Phone<\/strong>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-8.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>After updating your phone number, click on <strong>Save Changes<\/strong>.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-9.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Next, Click on <strong>Activate Duo Mobile<\/strong>. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-10.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Then, click on <strong>Generate Duo Mobile Activation Code.<\/strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-11.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Now, click on <strong>Send Instructions by SMS<\/strong> option.    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-12.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>You will receive a message: Activation code successfully sent as SMS.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-13.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li> Next, Configure RDP application in the Virtual Desktop.<\/li>\n<li>Click on <strong>Application<\/strong> and then <strong>Protect Application<\/strong>. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-14.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Search RDP and click on <strong> Protect<\/strong>. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-15.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>After clicking on protect, you will get your <strong>integration key, secret key<\/strong>, and <strong>API hostname<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Download<\/strong> the <strong>\u201cduo-win-login-4.2.0\u201d<\/strong> installer from the <a href=\"https:\/\/dl.duosecurity.com\/duo-win-login-latest.exe\" rel=\"nofollow\">https:\/\/dl.duosecurity.com\/duo-win-login-latest.exe<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Run<\/strong> the downloaded installer with administrative privileges.<\/li>\n<li>Next, enter the API Hostname from the Microsoft RDP application&#8217;s details page in the Duo Admin Panel and click <b>Next<\/b>.  <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-16.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>Enter your integration key and secret key from the Microsoft RDP application in the Duo Admin Panel and click <b>Next<\/b>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-17.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li> Select the preferred integration options and click <strong>Next<\/strong>. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-18.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px; margin-bottom:5px;\"><\/li>\n<li>To use smart cards on the systems where Duo is installed, click <strong>Enable Smart Card Support<\/strong>, and select preferred smart card options OR else click <strong>Next<\/strong>. <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.apps4rent.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Unmanaged-Duo-19.png\" style=\"margin-top:5px;
