1. Selecting Alternate Domain Name Endings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Have you ever typed a website URL into your iPhone, but can’t figure out how to add the .net or .org? <\/span>Well, if you hold down the “.com” button, a selection of domain name endings will pop up. <\/span>Just tap the one you want, and it will be added to the address.<\/p>\n

2. Fast-Switch Back to Alphabet Keys from Punctuation.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you are like me, you absolutely hate the process of switching back to Alphabet keys from punctuation. <\/span>This irritation can be dealt with using a “flick” of the finger. <\/span>Press and hold the “.?123”. <\/span>When the punctuation layout appears, just slide your finger onto the period key and let go. <\/span>You will find yourself quickly placed back at the ABC layout.<\/p>\n

3. Transfer Old Cell Phone Data to iPhone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So you bought yourself a new iPhone, but all your data is on your old clunker phone and it doesn’t seem to want to give it up. <\/span>This time, it\u2019s going to call for a third party tool. <\/span>This puzzle is put together using Fone2Phone from Nova Media, an application designed just for this purpose.<\/p>\n

The steps are a breeze. <\/span>You just connect your old phone to your Mac, use the software to copy selected information, and then use iTunes to sync the data to your iPhone. <\/span>Not real difficult, and a huge time-saver. <\/span><\/p>\n

4. Disable Cellular Data Connection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Keep people off the web on your phone by disabling Internet access when you’re not using it. <\/span>To do so, press “Settings” then navigate to “General, Network, Cellular Data Network.\u201d <\/span>In the three fields, just type anything. <\/span>This will prevent the iPhone from sending the proper values to your service provider.<\/p>\n

5. How to Soft-Reset your iPhone.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Need a quick restart? <\/span>Pressing and holding the Sleep and Home buttons will reset your iPhone. <\/span>After a light flash, the iPhone will reboot. <\/span>Make sure you hold the buttons until the phone is finished restarting.<\/p>\n
