Disabling Contacts Sync in your iPhone or iPad.

To disable contact synchronization with Exchange Server, please follow these steps.

1. Tap on Settings.

2. Tap on Mail, Contacts and Calendars.

3. Select the Exchange Account.

4. Tap ON for Contacts to turn syncing OFF.

5. A warning appears -”All Exchange Contacts will be removed from iPhone”.

6. Select “Keep on my iPhone”

Prevent sharing of local resources like printers and devices on your Hosted Desktop

By default; the RDP connection to your Hosted Desktop is configured to share your local PC’s resources like printers/USB devices and drives. If for any reason you want to disable such sharing; please follow these steps.

1. Click on Start and type mstsc
Windows Vista and Windows 7 customers can click on Windows Button and R at the same time.

2. Type mstsc.

3. Click on Options.

4. Type the login name which will be in the format HOSTALLAPPS\username

5. Click on Local Resources Rab.

6. To prevent sharing of Printer/Clipboard of your local PC; uncheck “Printers” and “Clipboard” options.

7. For USB devices click on “More” and expand “Other Supported Plug and Play Devices by clicking the plus sign”.

8. Uncheck “Devices that I plug in later”

9. Click OK.

Sharing printers/USB devices and local resources between hosted desktop and your computer

Some other devices that you can share selectively are:

1. Your local drives.
2. Smart Card.

Tip: You can expand the Drives Section and select the devices which you wish to Share.

iPhone 5 and Exchange

While it has not yet happened, it is anticipated that eventually Apple will announce the release of the iPhone 5. With each new model in the iPhone product line there have been new features and other innovations. Some of these have been major and some of them not as significant. The protocol for interfacing with Microsoft Exchange is an industry standard and obviously very well established. It would be an unprecedented turn of events if Apple were to change how the iPhone 5 implemented its relationship with MS Exchange and MS Exchange Server.

Therefore, it seems natural that the next release in the Apple mobile phone series will establish connectivity with Microsoft Exchange Server in much the same way it did with its predecessors.

Of course this is all good news.

No need to return to your office HQ enter contact information from new customers. No need to update Office contacts, memos and calendar. Rather than having three sets of contacts, calendars and email accounts, it will all be centralized and coordinated on your iPhone 5&mdashwhether at on the road, at the office or working from home you will be fully connected.

Unable to see the user presence in SharePoint Workspace

User presence can be seen in the Sharepoint WorkSpace by adding the contacts in the SharePoint Workspace. You will need to select the contact and then add the user including the Public Directory.

Assigned task is not viewable by Project Team members

Proper Permission need to be assigned, follow the below steps to assign the permission.

1.   Login into your Project Web Access Site using your browser.
2.   Click on Server Settings.
3.   Select Security and click on Manage Users
3.   Click on the user on which user permission need to be modified.
4.   Select the list of Permission to assign the resource to see the Projects.

NOTE: You would need to add the users in the control panel first at https://cp.hostallapps.com. Also, if this is the first time you are assigning permission to the specific user then you will need the SAM Account name; which is available under user details section in the Web Panel.

Adding a new domain and creating a new Project Server site

To create a new Project Server site; you would need to first add the domain in the control panel and have use create the site. To add a domain to your control panel; please follow the steps given below.

1. Login into your Web Panel.

2. Click on Domains Names from left panel and click on “Add New Domain” button

3. Enter the domain name.

For example: demoadmin.com.

4. Click on “Add Domain”.
