To wipe your BlackBerry Handheld; please follow these steps. Also, please uncheck the Enable BlackBerry option from thecontrol panel.

NOTE: This will DELETE all data and settings from your handheld. Please ensure that you have taken backup of the device via BlackBerry Desktop Manager. To take backup using BlackBerry Desktop Manager; please follow the steps given here.

 

  1. Go to Options
  2. Select Security Options
  3. Select General Settings
  4. Click the Menu key
  5. Select Wipe Handheld
  6. Click Continue
  7. Type in the word blackberry

Now, enable the BlackBerry option in control panel and try to activate using the new activation code.

Before trying the new activation code; please ensure that the BlackBerry devices signal strength is full i.e all the five bars are highlighted.
