AT&T BlackBerry services use GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) and GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) technology. AT&T BlackBerry service plans can be bought separately for voice, data and messaging or as bundles. However, some data plans require a compatible wireless voice plan and vice versa.
